Residency Exemption 2024 – 2025

The residential requirement is a critical part of the Colorado College experience. As a result, all students must live on campus for the first three years of their enrollment at CC.

To request an exemption to the residential requirement, students must provide verification of one of the following qualifications, complete, and submit the residency exemption form to Student Housing:

  • Will live with a parent or legal guardian in Colorado Springs
  • Are married or are in a same-sex domestic partnership
  • Have dependent children living with you
  • Are 22 years of age or older
  • Are a veteran

Please Note:
  • Housing will review your request and follow up with a decision within 3 business days of submission, with the exception of weekends and holidays as those might delay response time.
  • Having a signed lease IS NOT a reason for being exempt from the CC Housing Requirement.
  • Submitting this application does not guarantee residency exemption for 2024 - 2025 and you may be asked to provide more documentation if needed.
  • Please be patient as you await our decision and do not contact the Housing Office prior to the 72-hour timeline to enquire about your status, we will reach out as soon as a decision has been made.
