2025 WSO Check-In & Residence Hall Move-in

For New Students/WSO Participants*

Arrival Date & Time

Welcome! We are excited to have you. Move-in on Tuesday, January 14 will take place between 8 am-12 pm. Prior to your arrival to the Colorado College campus, we encourage you to take care of your off-campus shopping and any other needs, as this will be a busy day full of moving in and activities!.
*Students arriving for approved early arrival programs will receive information directly from their program administrators, and will still be required to check-in for WSO on January 14.

WSO Student & Family Check-In (on January 14)

Your first stop upon arrival to campus will be to the Orientation Check-in table in Gaylor Hall inside the Worner Campus Center. Check-in opens at 7:45 am, and this is where students will pick up their WSO nametags, CC ID/Gold Card (be sure to upload your photo in advance; step by step instruction video), verify your immunization paperwork has been completed (a requirement before moving into your hall), and receive other helpful WSO information.
We anticipate check-in will be busiest between 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.; thank you for your patience. Short-term parking for check-in will be available at the following locations:
  • Parallel, street parking is available curbside on northbound Cascade Avenue and Cache La Poudre St.
  • Accessible parking is available in the Armstrong Hall Lot (accessible from 130 E. Cache La Poudre St.)
  • Free off-street parking is available in the Robson Arena Parking Garage (which is about a block away from Tava Quad and accessible from 112 E. Dale St.)
  • Metered city street parking (payment required) is also available on Tejon and Dale Streets outside of the Yalich Student Services Building.

Move-in

After you have checked in for WSO if arriving on Tuesday, January 14, you can then proceed to your residence hall for move-in. The residence halls will open promptly at 8 a.m. for move-in. Please do not attempt to access the halls in advance. Thank you! During move-in, you will have help; there will be RA staff, move-in staff, Priddy leaders, and professional staff.

The address of your hall's check-in and unloading area is:

Immediately after unloading belongings at move-in, vehicles should be moved to visitor parking areas within the Robson arena parking garage (accessible from 112 E. Dale St.), the Library Parking Lot (accessible from 100 E Uintah Ave.) or available street parking along Nevada Avenue.

We have created NSO traffic flow and parking map below to help make your move-in experience go as smoothly as possible.

What to Bring to Campus

We have created a 'what to bring' list that should get you started! It can be found here.

Please also be sure that you have submitted your completed immunization/health paperwork within your admission portal prior to coming to campus.

Parking on Campus

On-Campus Parking permits will not be enforced during WSO. We do, however, expect that students and their guests abide by other posted signage (i.e., fire lanes, no parking, accessible parking, service, etc.). Guests are encouraged to park in Robson Garage, Library Parking Lot, or on available street parking during family orientation.

  • The Library Parking Lot (accessible from near 50 E Uintah Ave.)
  • Street parking along Nevada Avenue or W. Cache La Poudre St.

As a reminder, Colorado College does not allow first-year students to have a car on campus. Students requesting disability-related parking consideration should contact Accessibility Resources at accessibilityresources@coloradocollege.edu

Please note: On-street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods is now limited to residential permit holders through the city of Colorado Springs, Monday - Friday between 7 am and 5 pm; therefore, we strongly discourage students from relying on this as a viable option. We do, however, have many transportation services available to our students who do not have access to a car. Campus Safety offers Safe Ride shuttles throughout the week within the immediate vicinity of campus and to grocery stores; the Office of Sustainability partners with Pike Ride and Mountain Metro to provide students free access to the local transportation options; and the Worner Desk offers one-way airport shuttles before extended breaks for a small fee.
