Regional Alumni Events

Interested in hosting a gathering of CC alumni in your region? Let us know at alumni@coloradocollege.edu. You're welcome to provide the guest list, or we can send an invitation to alumni in your area, based on how many individuals you’d like to attend. Be sure to let us know who was there and share a photo with us after the event!

Pictured: The CC Alumni Hawaii Network gathered at the home of Gordon Aoyagi '67 on Sunday, March 26. CC President L. Song Richardson (front row, right) and her mother (front row, left) joined in the festivities. Said Aoyagi, "Everyone’s food offered a variety of tastes — savory and sweet — with lingering and fulfilling flavors of the islands. Thank you to Katina Marx who offered a traditional chant, Aloha Oi, for our welcoming circle. A big thank you to our guest Kamehameha student, Aryene, who entertained us with hula and led us in our closing song 'Hawaii Aloha.' These made our gathering so very special ... It was a beautiful 'whole' afternoon which was greater than the sum of its parts. Mahalo nui Loa."

CC-Denver-Inaugural-Tour-Event_Rachel-Woolf_25-X5.jpeg

On Aug. 29, 2022, President L. Song Richardson was formally inaugurated as the 14th president of Colorado College. Since then, has made several stops in her year-long tour across the United States to meet with CC alumni, parents, families, and community members. At these events, attendees hear directly from Song about the vision and priorities for CC's future — with opportunities to meet the president, contribute your ideas, and network with fellow members of the CC community. Song met with nearly 100 CC members of the community in Denver on Oct. 20, followed by a stop in Chicago on Nov. 19, with more than 50 CC community members attending. In January, the president met with alumni, families, and friends in Los Angeles and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In March, she made stops in New York City, Boston, and Washington, D.C.

Summer Send-Offs

summer_sendoff.jpg

In the summer of 2022, the Office of Alumni and Family Relations brought back Summer Send-Offs — regional events intended to connect incoming students and their families with the larger CC community. We gathered in nine cities, including Boston, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Denver, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.!

Attendees have the chance to network with fellow "CC people" in their region, share advice with incoming students, and continue to build personal connections within the CC community. Stay tuned for summer 2023 dates and locations, or reach out to alumni@coloradocollege.edu if you are interested in hosting an event in your city. If you're based in a region where we're hosting an event, you will receive an email invitation. Hope to see you there — you might just discover your new roommate or a classmate from across town. Click here to see photos from all of our 2022 Summer Send-Off events!
