AAYLC Community Enhancement Prize

The African American Youth Leadership Conference Community Enhancement Prize enables students to pursue research projects or activities related to one or more of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals as defined in the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Up to two prizes of $2,000 or less will be awarded in each academic year that funding is available. The prize funds may be used to: support students’ living expenses during related internships; support thesis research; and/or serve as seed funding for projects and activities.

To apply, students should submit proposals to the President’s Office; the deadline is April 2. Prize recipients are expected to submit a summary report about their experience to the AAYLC immediately upon completion. When possible, recipients will be invited to present their research or project to the CC community.

This prize was inspired by CC President L. Song Richardson’s vision of creating “a more just world.” The AAYLC wishes to inspire students to have impact on the key issues of our time and our future.

The deadline is April 2.
