President's Council

President's Council is a representative body of students who serve in an advisory role to the President of the college. Members of the President's Council have the unique opportunity to contribute to institution-wide decisions by ensuring the President is aware of, and understands, students' evolving needs and interests. The Council meets with the President once per block.

Yumna Ali

Yumna Ali is a senior majoring in Business, Economics, and Society (BESoc) from Denver, Colorado. With a commitment to strategic problem-solving and social advocacy, she focuses on issues affecting underrepresented and minority communities. At CC, Yumna is actively involved in student organizations, serving as the President of the Women in Business Club and Vice President of the Muslim Student Association, while also participating in the President's Council and Consulting Club. Currently, she serves as a Global Reach Intern at Zayo, where she hones her skills in managing global projects and process optimization. Yumna is passionate about creating inclusive opportunities and enhancing the student experience on campus. Plus, you can always find her with a bright smile on her face!"

Fatima Barry

Hello! My name is Fatima Barry, and I am originally from Guinea. I am a junior at Colorado College, pursuing a degree in Neuroscience. I am involved with the Bonner Fellowship, where I work closely with local community partners to drive meaningful change in Colorado Springs. My passions include refugee resettlement, exploring the intersections of medicine and global health, and studying Islam. By joining the President’s Council, I hope to contribute to creating a more inclusive and welcoming environment for Muslim women on campus by amplifying their voices and addressing their needs. 

Caden Campolmi

Hello! My name is Caden Campolmi and I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. I am a Senior at Colorado College pursuing my degree in Organismal Biology and Ecology with a minor in Environmental Studies. I spend a lot of my time in the field and I am extremely passionate about the intersections of human society, the environment, and natural systems. In my free time I enjoy swimming, hiking, and spending time out in nature, an easy thing to do at Colorado College! I am so excited to contribute to the President's Council, gain deeper insight into our incredible institution, and serve as an advocate for my peers on campus.

Finn Donahue

Hello! My name is Finn Donahue. I am a senior Mathematical Economics Major and Technology Portfolio Manager in the CC Investments Club. I enjoy anything and everything with numbers and math. I am also a Music Minor and Guitarist in Tiger Jazz and other bands around campus. Outside of class, I love to run, ski, and guide trips through Outdoor Education. I am very excited to be a part of the President's council this year so that I can be a better advocate for the aspirations and voices of my fellow peers. I am very excited about what the future holds for CC!

Hi! My name is Stella, and I am from Fort Collins, CO. I am a Literature major, with interests in the Book, Philosophy, and Dance as minors. On campus, I am involved in the debate team, work as a first-year peer mentor, write for Cipher and the Catalyst, and do Dance Workshop. When I am not in the library, you can find me helping my friends find trees to climb, attending impromptu recorder performances, or near a body of water. I am so excited to bring a new perspective to the President's Council and work on improving our college!

Tatum Goldberger

Hello, my name is Tatum Goldberger, and I am a junior from Sherborn, Massachusetts! I'm currently undecided but leaning towards an Environmental Science major. On campus, I work in the Officeof the Registrar. I spend most of my free time in the Arts and Crafts Department, and I enjoy reading, painting, and playing guitar. I'm looking forward to collaborating with President's Council members to help make a positive impact on Colorado College!

Maddy Golier

Hi! My name is Maddy Golier, and I am a senior from a small town in Western Pennsylvania, majoring in International Political Economy (with a bit of debate over my minor). I am a member of the Varsity Women’s Swim and Dive team, a Priddy Leader, and an Outdoor Education leader, and have also written for the SOCC magazine and served as an Admissions Ambassador. Outside of academics, I am currently working with a local Colorado Springs startup doing hands-on sales and marketing work. For fun, I love to play music, ski, practice yoga, and search for the best swimming spots. One of my favorite things about CC is how connected our student body is with a diverse range of communities. I’m excited to continue my involvement on campus as a member of the President’s Council, collaborating with new friends and leadership to help strengthen the CC community.

Gabby Hooper

My name is Gabby Hooper and I am a senior from Castle Rock, Colorado. I am undecided on my major, but will likely pursue a discipline in the humanities. I am a Women’s Educational Society Scholar and work on campus. In my free time, I love to play guitar and read. I have been passionate about and active in advocacy work for several years now and excited for the opportunity to continue here at CC. I am looking forward to contributing to and learning from the President’s Council this year!

Nico Jesuele

Hi, my name is Nico Jesuele, and I'm a sophomore from Los Angeles, California, majoring in Economics with a minor in Computer Science. Outside of the classroom, I'm involved in the Investment Banking Club and spend much of my free time playing tennis, skiing, and summiting 14ers across Colorado. I joined the President's Council because I wanted to take a more active role in bringing student perspectives to the table and driving meaningful change at CC. I'm especially passionate about strengthening campus culture, expanding career readiness resources, enhancing the Block Plan experience, and deepening our connection to the incredible natural environment that makes this school so unique. 

Willa McLaughlin

Hello! My name is Willa McLaughlin, and I'm a senior from a small rural town in Washington. I'm a double-major in Organismal Biology and Ecology and Political Science. I play on the Women's Basketball team, and enjoy dropping into Clay Club when I can, playing bluegrass music on the fiddle, and exploring videography and film production. I also love to be outdoors whenever possible, enjoy backpacking and camping and have explored this passion through work as a Wildland Firefighter for the US Forest Service. Colorado College has both challenged me and provided opportunities for growth that I didn't have access to growing up in an isolated community. I look forward to sharing that perspective and engaging with fellow students and CC leadership to better our community. 

Maram Mohamed

Maram is a junior double majoring in Mathematical Economics and Political Science. Since her freshman year, she has been a member of the President's Council, driven by a strong commitment to student advocacy and campus leadership.

In addition to her work on the President's Council, Maram is an ADEIJ Lead on the CCSGA Outreach Committee and a member of the International Student Advisory Board. She is also a Student Educational Assistant at the Cheryl Schlessman Bennett Children's Center, a Quantitative Reasoning Center (QRC) Tutor, and a Grader and Teaching Assistant in the Economics & Business Department. Through her leadership and academic roles, she is dedicated to supporting students, advancing campus initiatives, and making a positive impact on the Colorado College community.

Maya Rosen

Hi, my name is Maya Rosen, and I am from Holliston, Massachusetts. I am currently a junior studying English and Film, and I just spent my summer working as a script development intern at a production company called 'American High ' and worked as a TA for a creative writing program at Amherst College. You can find me around campus writing and performing with the comedy groups,  working as a Priddy leader, tutoring at the Speaking Center, hanging out in Arts and Crafts, and writing for on-campus publications! 

Adia Stokes

Hello! My name is Adia Stokes (she/her) and I am a sophomore from New York. I am pursuing a Political Science major with a Spanish minor. You'll see me on campus working in the Writing Center, on the field with the Women's Club Soccer team, and at Allies of Unhoused Youth meetings. I enjoy reading sci-fi, drawing plants, playing team sports, and making music - especially piano and (poor) guitar! I am excited to enter this position and focus on serving the student population of CC through working to bridge divides across identity and creating spaces for open dialogue.

Yu Chen Weng

My name is Yu Chen Weng, and I am from Taipei, Taiwan. I am a sophomore majoring in Mathematical Economics. I currently serve as the student representative on the Antiracism Commitment Committee and will join the CCSGA as the ADEIJ Lead beginning this fall. I am also a Davis Scholar and a graduate of UWC Robert Bosch College. Outside of academics and student leadership, I enjoy spending time at the clay club and cooking with friends. I am excited about the opportunity to serve on the President’s Committee, where I hope to contribute my perspective as an international student while learning from and collaborating with others across the community.
