The certification that you need to lead a trip depends on the type and length of the trip. All of our leaders must begin by taking the Assistant Leader Training (you can register on Summit). You can advance through our trainings (Trip Leader Training, Backpacking Leader Training) and also register for endorsement courses to lead more skill specific trips (e.g. Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Boarding, Ski Resort Leader Training, Mountain Bike Leader Training).
