Identity and Cultural Programming Intern
Julissa Torres
I'm Julissa Torres (They/Them) and I'm from Las Vegas, Nevada. I am a fourth year Mexican-American student majoring in Psychology with a minor in Race, Ethnicity, and Migration studies. In my spare time I perform with CC's Mariachi Tigre and work as a Stroud Scholars Mentor. I joined the Butler Center as a Programming Intern in hopes of connecting with other BIPOC, queer, and first-generation students while we learn how to build community and navigate college together. After graduating, I hope to continue this work and become a community organizer, working with human and civil rights organizations to cultivate a more equitable and loving world!
