Advocates for Immigrant Justice (AIJ)

aijAdvocates for Immigrant Justice, also known as AIJ, is a group where we center the experiences of immigrants, particularly people who are Undocumented in the US. We aim to work with students, staff, and faculty across campus to educate people on issues Undocumented people face. The club often engages in conversations regarding the Undocumented experience through books such as; Amplifying Black Undocumented Student Voices in Higher Education by Felicia S. Russell, The Undocumented Americans by Karla Cornejo Villavicencio, and Dear American: Notes of an Undocumented Citizen by Jose Antonio Vargas. We strive to bring community members together from a range of backgrounds to be able to advocate for Undocumented people in all the spaces they are a part of and understand the diverse diaspora of Undocumented people in the US.
