Budapest Semester Math Equivalencies
Students interested in studying abroad on any CC-approved program need to complete the CC Internal Application process in Summit. Students may count at most three 300-400 level courses taken at other institutions (not to include equivalents of MA321 and MA375) toward their Mathematics major, provided that these courses are approved by the department.
In addition, students should note that while studying abroad in a non-English-speaking country, CC policy requires you take the local language. With BSM, this can be fulfilled either through a pre-session (non-credit bearing) Hungarian crash course offered in Budapest before the semester or a traditional language course in Hungarian during the semester. Course info is here.
Note: In the cases where a specific Colorado College course is listed, the matching Budapest Semester course will satisfy Department of Mathematics and Computer Science major and minor requirements in the same way that the CC course would. For instance, GAL is a direct substitute for MA421 and would satisfy the "advanced sequence requirement" when linked with MA321.
