Standing Operational Group Highlights
Throughout the 2024–2025 academic year, Colorado College brought together cross-functional teams called Standing Operational Groups to address key priorities that shape the campus experience. These groups focused on four areas: student success, risk management, digital transformation, and space governance. Their work aims to strengthen systems and improve how the college operates for students, staff, and faculty alike.
Key Areas of Progress
Student Success
- Support resources were redesigned to be easier to find and use.
- A new data model was created to help identify students who may need support earlier.
- Student focus groups provided feedback on college policies, digital tools, and campus life.
Enterprise Risk Management
- Key risks to the college were identified and assigned to responsible leaders for follow-up.
- A new process was piloted to monitor and reduce risks related to compliance, budgeting, and safety.
- Expect clearer communication about risk planning moving forward.
Space Governance
- A new request process for space changes was created and will be piloted next year.
- Efforts are underway to clarify decision-making roles and ensure fair, transparent space use.
Digital Transformation
- A new campus-wide framework was launched to guide technology improvements.
- Subcommittees are focused on data governance, AI policy, ERP modernization, and IT project planning.
- Look for more updates and opportunities to get involved as this work progresses.
Why It Matters
These collaborative groups are laying the groundwork for smarter systems and more responsive services across campus. While some initiatives are still in early stages, the commitment to transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement is already taking shape.
