Join Our Travel Team

Participating in the Travel Team of CC Model UN is an intellectually stimulating and personally rewarding experience. Whether you're drafting resolutions, negotiating with delegates, or debating pressing global issues, MUN challenges you to think critically, communicate effectively, and collaborate with others to solve complex problems. The sense of accomplishment you’ll feel after representing your assigned country and successfully navigating international dynamics is unparalleled. You can see where we've traveled in the past here!

Why Join CC Model UN?

Joining MUN opens the door to a wealth of opportunities:

  • Free Travel: Represent Colorado College at conferences across the country, exploring new cities and campuses at no cost.
  • Skill Building: Hone your public speaking, negotiation, and diplomacy skills while gaining confidence in articulating your thoughts.
  • Lifelong Friendships: Build meaningful connections with like-minded peers who share your enthusiasm for tackling global challenges.
  • Unforgettable Experiences: Enjoy the excitement of participating in intense committee sessions by day and social events by night, creating memories that last a lifetime.

Whether you’re a seasoned debater or have never heard of a position paper, Model UN welcomes students of all experience levels. While prior involvement can be beneficial, it is by no means required—we’ll provide all the training and support you need to succeed.

Model UN isn’t just for students with dreams of working at the United Nations. The skills you develop—like critical thinking, research, teamwork, and effective communication—are applicable to any field. Whether you’re studying political science, environmental science, business, or something entirely different, MUN provides a platform to apply your knowledge and broaden your perspective on global issues.

Application Timeline

CC Model UN generally attends a conference first semester in November and second semester in April. Training for the travel team occurs mornings of the block leading up to the conference. Thus, applications are usually due end of Block 1 for the first semester’s conference, and Block 5 for the second semester’s.
