Teaching children how to "fish"

When someone calls and says, "Do you want to be part of the solution?" educator Charity Cereen Shouse Haygood '96 says "yes." Haygood is the principal at B.R.I.C.K. ("Building Responsible, Intelligent, and Creative Kids") Avon Academy, a public school, enrolling 600 children in an impoverished area of New Jersey.
