The Dean of the Faculty

The Office of the Dean of the Faculty oversees the academic programs of the College and supports CC faculty, staff, and students. Our work is guided by Colorado College's mission - to provide the finest liberal arts education in the country while developing habits of intellect and imagination that prepare students for lifelong learning and leadership.

At CC, we invite students to confront assumptions, ask difficult questions, and imagine more just and sustainable futures. Through immersive teaching and learning, relationship building and mentorship, and scholarship, we bring intellectual rigor and imagination both to the urgent challenges of society and to the timeless inquiries that expand knowledge and meaning. The work of Office of the Dean of the Faculty supports our collective work to cultivate independence of thought, the curiosity and courage to question prevailing norms, and the willingness both to speak with conviction and to listen with care. Our priorities highlight ways to redouble our commitment to the liberal arts approach, to faculty and staff expertise, academic success, and to the transformative power of high-impact education. Learn more current resources and policies using links on this page and in the drop down menu, the action plan to support faculty stemming from the 2025 Faculty Insight Forum, our ongoing initiatives in our strategic plan in academics, a part of the college-wide set of divisional strategic plan and presidential priorities.
