"Play is essential. it's spontaneous, enaging, and sparks a tangible exchange of energy. Play is also undervalued, dismissed, and typically reserved for children. Starting from the notion that unstructured play is a fertile playground for creativity, the collaborative process that led to making PLAY with the dancers, was largely rooted in impromtu play and experimentation. When centering 'playing" in the creative process, we let go of expectations, fall into the present moment, and become uninhibited. Play, in its simplest form is about being open to the idea that anything is possible. It is the blueprint to imagining solutions. Harnessing play readies us to create change and imagine new stories, foraging our future. As an educator, I've come to trust the genuine nature of play and its abiloty to transcend boundaries..."
