Instruction

Library Instruction

Tutt Library Instruction Programs mission is to work collaboratively with faculty and other campus partners to teach students to discover, create, and use information and knowledge with rigor and integrity.

The instruction program serves the students of Colorado College by helping them to learn to conduct library research and to use information competently. The librarians provide several services toward this end including classroom instruction. Faculty are encouraged to request research help at either the research desk or with their liaison librarian.

Student Learning Outcomes

FYP

While the library will provide instruction for all classes, one particular area of focus is the FYP classes. By providing library instruction to the FYP classes the students are given a foundational knowledge that will assist them with their academic career. We strongly encourage all FYP instructor to contact the liaison librarian for their subject area to coordinate library instruction.

Library Tours

Librarians offer tours for classes to orient students to the library and library services. Contact your liaison librarian to schedule a tour.
