2–5 p.m. | The Sixties after the Sixties: Music and Life at CC during the Early Block Plan Years with Craig Werner '74

In honor of the Class of ’76 50th Reunion, experience the music of the sixties with Craig Werner ’74.

Take an in-depth look at the music of the sixties during three immersive sessions informed by Werner’s decades of experience examining the culture and meaning of music. Built around songs that were popular during the class of '76’s time on campus, these presentations reflect on the ways the battle over the meaning of the sixties took shape while the memories were still fresh.

Back-to-back sessions will begin at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m. Come for one, two, or stay for all three! This event is open to all Homecoming attendees and CC faculty, staff, and students.

Homecoming Tent, Cutler Quad
Luncheon for all Fifty Year Club members (alumni who have graduated more than 50 years ago) and the Class of 1976, who will be inducted into the Colorado College Fifty Year Club, with remarks by CC Fifty Year Club co-president, Dan Cooper ’66, CC President Manya Whitaker, and class speaker Kelvin Taketa '76. Attendees should arrive by 11 a.m. for the welcome and remarks.

Esports (competitive video gaming) is taking the world by storm and college campuses are no exception. CC was an early adopter and is still on the leading edge, having won four of our last five Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) championships. Drop in and see our two lab spaces and try your hand at one or more of the games or just fall into that college vibe of sinking into a couch and playing some Mario Kart with your friends. Staff will be on hand to answer your questions and help you with any of the equipment.

4–5 p.m. | CC Ensembles Showcase Concert

A multi-genre concert featuring fabulous ensembles from the music department, including CC Bluegrass, Tiger Jazz, Chamber Chorus, and Gamelan.

    Begin your morning with meditation. Enjoy an opportunity to connect with oneself, and to ground oneself in stillness before the start of the day through meditation. No experience is necessary, all are welcome.

    Shove Memorial Chapel
    Enjoy simple meditative movements in the quiet of Shove Memorial Chapel. No experience necessary. Qigong combines movement, meditation, visualization, and sound for greater health and wellbeing through the body.

    Garden of the Gods
    CC shuttle will depart campus at 8:45 a.m. from Cascade Ave. near Charles L. Tutt Library or alumni can meet on the north side of the Garden of the Gods main parking area by 9 a.m. The hike will be an easy four-mile loop trail. * Please note, there are limited spaces in the shuttle. All persons riding in the vehicle will be required to have their own seat with a seatbelt. Please plan to bring water
