Secretary General
Havalin Haskell, h_haskell@coloradocollege.edu
Hello! My name is Havalin Haskell, I am a junior Environmental Studies Major and I am also double minoring in Political Science and Journalism. Model United Nations combines my passions for policymaking, effective communication, and international collaboration to drive meaningful change. I am a Colorado native, born and raised in Crested Butte, CO. I began Model United Nations my freshman year at CC and it has been one of the most transformational experiences of my college experience. Participating in Model United Nations has been transformational for my college experience, fostering a supportive community, enhancing my public speaking and diplomatic skills, deepening my global awareness, and even being a stepping stone leading to me to attend the actual United Nations climate change conference, COP29 in Baku Azerbaijan
Assistant Secretary General
Kathrin Bürger, k_burger@coloradocollege.edu
Hello! My name is Kathrin Bürger, and I am a sophomore from Vienna, Austria! My journey with Model United Nations began in high school in Eswatini, where I co-presided over the MUN club. My first conferences were the online Qatar MUN and the African Union Conference hosted by the African Leadership Academy, where I was honored with the award for Best Position Paper. At CC, I have had the privilege of participating in several prestigious conferences, including SBIMUN at the University of California, Santa Barbara, HopMUNC at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C., and 305MUN at the University of Miami in Florida. MUN has been instrumental in honing my public speaking skills, crafting actionable policy proposals in the form of resolutions, and developing geopolitical competencies through diverse, focus-driven conferences.
Trainer
Britt Nerad, b_nerad@coloradocollege.edu
Hello! I am Britt, I am a junior from Chicago, and I am the current trainer of the Model UN travel team. I was new to Model UN my freshman year and have since traveled to 3 conferences and participated in many simulations we have organized. Model UN is important to me because it allows me to engage with current and historical events that I would not cover in class. Through my experience with MUN I have felt my public speaking skills improve exponentially!
Director of Communications
Louise Dellarco, l_dellarco@coloradocollege.edu
Hi! I'm Louise, a junior from Seattle, and I am the current Director of Communications for CC Model UN! I started Model UN during my first year at CC (I had never done it before in highschool) and instantly loved the club and community! Model UN is truly a place where I feel like I can be my goofy and confident self - if you are looking for a place to discuss global politics where your voice will truly be heard, this is it! Model UN is important to me because it allows me to grow as a speaker and global citizen in a safe, welcoming space. I truly believe that Model UN is why I have become such a strong public speaker and more educated in global politics.
