Appeals

1. How to Submit an Appeal

· Deadline: You have 10 days from the date of the violation to submit your appeal. Appeals submitted outside of the 10 days will not be considered.

· How to Submit: Fill out and submit the appeal on the form provided below.

· Review Timeline: Appeals will be reviewed during block breaks. You will receive a written response with the results once a decision is made.

2. Appeal Levels

· Level I Appeal: The CC Parking office will review your citation to check for errors or if the violation hasn’t occurred. A decision will be made and communicated to the submitting appealer

· Level II Appeal: If your initial appeal is denied, you have the option to submit a Level II appeal. This appeal will be reviewed by the Level II Appeals Committee, which consists of one student, one staff member, and one faculty member from the college, all of whom have no connection to the Parking Office. The committee's decisions are final and cannot be further appealed. If the committee grants your appeal, the citation will be voided. However, if your appeal is denied, you will need to pay the citation amount along with an additional $10 appeal fee.

Your appeal will be automatically denied if it is based on the following reasons:

  • Disagreement with or lack of awareness of parking regulations and policies
  • Inability to find a parking space in your designated lot
  • Previous instances of parking without receiving a citation
  • Tardiness due to class or meeting obligations
  • Loading or unloading activities
  • Being directed to park by another individual
  • Parking for a brief period
  • Failure to notice posted signage
  • Parking in an ADA space without a valid placard
  • Improper display or absence of a current parking permit
