- academic and student life at CC
- campus and community resources
- living in Colorado Springs
- opportunities to meet other new international students at CC
- Cover cultural adjustment and coping skills
Fall 2026 ISO Mentors
International Student Orientation (ISO) Mentors are upperclass international students who serve as orientation leaders and role models to help with your transition to CC and help prepare you for what's ahead. ISO Mentors will welcome our new international students when they arrive on campus, support you during ISO, and continue through the fall semester by organizing events and serving as a resource for questions about U.S. culture and life at CC.

Ryan Adam
Class of 2029
Hi all! My name is Ryan, and I’m an international student from Jakarta, Indonesia. I am currently studying at Colorado College and am interested in majoring in Political Science on a pre-law track. On campus, I am involved with the International Student Advisory Board, Honor Council, and other student organizations that have helped me feel more connected to the CC community. As an international student myself, I understand that adjusting to a new country, school system, and campus culture can feel overwhelming at first. I’m excited to meet you, support you, and help make your transition to Colorado College as smooth as possible.
Three Pieces of Advice:
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions early
- Get involved in clubs, student organizations, or campus jobs because they are great ways to meet people
- Give yourself time to adjust because it is normal to feel overwhelmed at first

Class of 2028
Hi everyone, and welcome to CC! My name is Snežana, and I’m a rising junior studying Economics. I’m originally from Serbia, and I’m also really interested in education and theatre. Before coming to Colorado College, I attended UWC Adriatic in Italy, where I graduated in 2024 and got to meet amazing people from all over the world. Luckily, that didn’t stop when I came to CC, and some of my favorite memories here have come from the friendships and connections I’ve made. When I’m not hanging out with friends, you can usually find me calling my family back home, working or working out at our lovely fitness center, journaling, watching movies, or saying yes to a random side quest. I also love music, learning new languages, traveling, and hearing people’s stories. I’m excited to meet all of you, help you navigate college life, and hopefully make your transition to CC a little easier. Looking forward to meeting you all!
Three Pieces of Advice:
- It’s the small things. Years from now, you'll probably remember late-night conversations, spontaneous adventures, inside jokes, and random moments with friends more than any single assignment or exam. Make time for those moments.
- Try new things, challenge yourself, and take advantage of opportunities, even if they feel intimidating. Apply for that Venture Grant, join the club that sounds interesting, attend the event, talk to new people, and ask for help when you need it. A lot of opportunities at CC start with simply asking.
- Things may not always go exactly as planned, but some of the best experiences, friendships, and opportunities happen when you're willing to embrace the unexpected.
Clara Vega Rodriguez
Class of 2029
Hi!!! I'm Clara, an international student from Spain majoring in Political Science and History. On campus, I am part of the mock trial team (I dare you to debate me), a member of ISAB, and take guitar lessons. I also hold two on-campus jobs. I will be studying abroad this fall semester, but once I'm back you should come say hello at The Butler Center, where I work most of my afternoons. I'm super excited to meet you all!!
Three Pieces of Advice:
- Moving to a new country for college is scary, but you are braver than you think.
- The U.S. can feel overwhelming, specifically those first few months after your arrival. Your friends, mentors, ISSS staff and the Colorado college community are there to support you and help you thrive.
- Try as many things as possible: explore, meet new people, absorb the culture and take advantage of all the resources our college offers.
