You'll Like It: improved linking to library resources

Between Blocks 5 and 6, the Library will be implementing a new proxy server to connect users with library resources, allowing members of the campus community to gain access to resources such as journal articles and databases licensed by the library regardless of their location. The upgrade will provide many improvements: security, more consistent access, better user experience, less software error, and better connectivity.

  • On campus, the process will work as it has been and users should not see any difference in their experiences.
  • Off-campus Users will still be prompted to login, however, the login screen may look different.
  • Bookmarked links may need to updated.
  • Users still need to use the library links through library guides, the TIGER catalog, and the A-Z list to gain full access to resources licensed by the Library.
