Max Kade is the German Language immersion house. Max Kade serves as a residence for 17 students interested in improving their understanding of the German language and culture. The Cultural Program Coordinator organizes events in liaison with the German Language Department. The Max Kade Foundation of New York provided $15,000 for remodeling and furnishing the house and starting a library of German-language books and records. Max Kade, President of the Foundation, was a German immigrant who became wealthy in the pharmaceutical industry. The two-story house is built in the Italian villa style.
