State, City, and Community Businesses Celebrate CC’s Founding Day
This Friday, February 9 is officially “Colorado College Day” throughout the state. That’s the day Colorado College was founded exactly 150 years ago in Colorado Springs. To mark CC’s Sesquicentennial, proclamations from both the City of Colorado Springs and the State of Colorado signed this week by Mayor Yemi Mobolade and Governor Jared Polis both commemorate February 9, 2024, as Colorado College Day.
Area businesses are joining in the celebration by offering deals and discounts on food and beverage. Josh & John’s Ice Cream and Poor Richard’s Restaurant, both founded by CC alums, encourage people to wear their CC spirit wear to get a discount on food.
