RM382 - The Fanon Variations
Few thinkers have had as broad and deep an influence on modern thought in so short a career as Frantz Fanon, the native of the French Caribbean who ended his life as a fighter in the Algerian Revolution. This course will provide a framework for Fanon as a foundational and canonical figure in post-colonial thought and the practice of revolution. Students will read his principal texts and develop an understanding of their continuing power and relevance. (Not offered 2024-25).
